Compliance Workshop held on December 8, 2010

The IPCAA compliance workshop held in Frankfurt was well attended, with almost 40 participants – from among IPCAA members
and also with several medical societies and other meetings industry representatives.

The top level faculty shared information on current developments related to compliance in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries and the presentations generated lively discussion.

Following the formal part of the programme, active work groups were set the task of defining the “ideal” medical/scientific congress framework and many practical and helpful suggestions were made.

Sylvia Fondanèche, Vice President, who organised the programme for IPCAA, said “I am satisfied with how the workshop went. Bringing together various interest groups in what became very open and at times, controversial discussion can only serve the interests of us all. It is clear that much more needs to be done in terms of continuing to offer platforms for communication and interaction between all parties involved on the organisation of medical meetings. IPCAA intends to play a strong role in facilitating this kind of networking exchange in the future.”
