The meeting was extremely well attended, with representatives present from almost all member companies.
Sylvia Fondanèche, President
Sylvia Fondanèche was elected President of IPCAA in January 2011, for a three year term.
She joined IPCAA in 2006 serving as Council Member and further confirming her commitment to the association as Vice-President from 2007 - 2009. She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over seven years having joined sanofi-aventis in 2004 to head the International Congress & Events Department. With a BA in International Business Administration and prior experience in public relations, sales and strategic and operational marketing for the meetings and hospitality industry, Sylvia has held positions in event and association management for such organisations as the UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats), ACCOR (Sofitel) and KPMG THL, a sales and marketing consulting firm for European convention bureaus and meeting & exhibition venues. She is also Vice-President of the Diabetes Industry Forum (DIF) and an active contributor to the facilitation and advancement of education for pharmaceutical meetings & events professionals and medical & scientific societies in such areas as international hospitality regulatory and compliance matters. Sylvia is American, born in Spain and has made France her home since 1980.
Martin Jensen, Head of International Congress & Event Global Product Strategy & Portfolio Development
After experience in the hotel industry and as a PCO, Martin joined H. Lundbeck Pharmaceuticals in 2007. Martin holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and a Masters degree in International Hospitality Management. He is currently Head of International Congresses & Events, Strategic Marketing, at Lundbeck.
Christian-Claus Roth, Vice President
Having enjoyed a successful career with the company since 2001, Christian now oversees the Novartis strategic global Congress & Conventions team. Additionally he is a Meeting Advisory Board member of a large hotel group and regularly asked to participate as a panel member and speaker at conferences.
Ingrid Marti, Treasurer
In addition, Ingrid Marti was re-elected for a third term as Treasurer.
The Executive Team will, as previously, be supported by Rita Gutzwiller (Executive Officer) in Switzerland, Keith Spencer (Executive Director), based in the UK and Manfred Piepenburg (Legal Advisor), located in Germany.

Andrea Mrachacz, Bayer Schering Pharmaceutical
Currently working as Senior Manager Conventions & Global Initatives, Andrea's role is concentrated on Women's Healthcare with worldwide PR and social responsibility.
She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for ten years, all of them at Bayer.
Everton Cranston, Pfizer Inc. r
With the company for sixteen years, Everton is the Senior Director, Team Leader, HealthCare Association Management. for Pfizer and has held numerous positions in the area of strategic planning, communications, sales and event marketing and logistics. He also serves as a Director on the Healthcare Exhibitor Association (HCEA) Board.
In addition, Eric Seban (Galderma), Sylvain Gaudron (Servier) and Vincent Nys (Janssen Cilag) were re-elected for a further term on Council.
