Nigel Glover

Responsible for implementation of the communications plan with the focus on internal communications.


Nigel has experience working in all aspects of the corporate meetings and leisure travel industries. He began his career employed in the tour operating sector and worked as a Contracts and Product Manager for Thomas Cook and then for Eurotunnel, where he negotiated and contracted hotels throughout Europe for UK and French FIT holiday programmes. 

He subsequently moved into inbound destination management, running corporate meetings, events and incentive travel programmes for overseas clients travelling to London and the UK. This was a stepping stone to join Grass Roots and Maritz to develop strategic meetings consolidation programmes for GlaxoSmithKline, helping them better capture expenditure and improve efficiencies in their internal meetings and events in both the UK and USA. 

In 2002 Nigel became General Manager of a UK meetings management agency with responsibility for the management of a large team providing services exclusively to the pharmaceutical industry. 

In 2007, he joined Takeda Pharmaceuticals International Ltd to run their global congress programmes, including corporate events and advisory board meetings. Today, he supports the Global Commercial (PVPS) organisation within Takeda Pharmaceuticals International AG, with a focus on the sponsorship management and delivery of activities at scientific congresses for the GI, Vaccines and Oncology therapy areas, supporting brand and medical teams, as well as the planning and delivery of exhibition booths and supporting logistics for teams based in Zurich, Boston and Chicago. Driving compliance programmes and cost efficiencies are also central to his role.
