Co-Vice Presidents

Angela von Bieberstein

Angela R. von Bieberstein has been working with Bayer in various global positions since 2007. She joined the company as a Senior Congress Manager and over the past years she has worked in the cardiovascular field. In this role she focused on supporting Bayer’s presence at medical congresses as well as on engaging with external stakeholders including medical societies, healthcare professional and organizations. Since Jan 1, 2023 she has taken on the role as Congress Strategy Manager in the customer experience department and collaborates with medical societies and associations to find new ways and strategies for customers with a focus on future virtual/ hybrid scenarios regarding congress participation. Before she started working for Bayer, Angela started at Schering in 2002 as Congress Manager / Project Lead for global congress projects.
Angela has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holds a law degree from the Ludwig Maximilian’s Universität in Munich, Germany and has an extensive compliance knowledge.
Furthermore, Angela has been representing Bayer AG for several years as an active IPCAA Council Member and was elected as IPCAA Co-Vice President in 2022.

Magdalena Makiela

Magdalena Makiela-Bogacka has been with MSD regional operations in various positions since 2012. She has joined Expert Management and Strategy Team in 2015 and since 3 years has been part of MSD EMEAC Medical Affairs Capabilities Hub in Zurich, Switzerland. In her role at MSD she focuses on supporting MSD presence at medical congresses, engagements with external stakeholders including medical societies, healthcare professional and organizations. Prior to joining MSD, Magdalena worked as public affairs professional in EU regulatory affairs in Brussels, Belgium. She holds Masters in Economics and International Relations, Krakow University of Economics, Poland and Bachelors in Business Administration, Avans University of Applied Science, the Netherlands. Magdalena has been IPCAA Council Member since 2021 before taking the Co-Vice President role.
